This is a very special year for our organization. We have recently begun an expansion of our building. When originally built in 1985, we designed a three-bay garage. One of those spaces, however, has since been used as a makeshift office and sitting room. We plan to add a third ambulance in the near future and, coincidentally, our needs for office, storage and training space have greatly increased. So, we will be restoring the original third garage bay to its intended use and will be adding an addition that will accommodate a sitting room, two offices and much needed storage and training space. When we purchase our next ambulance, we will be able to keep both of our existing vehicles rather than trading one in, thus increasing our capability to serve the community. By carefully managing your past contributions, we have much of the funding necessary for this project. We also will be doing part of the work, such as some of the painting, ourselves. However, additional funds will be needed to fully complete the addition and to purchase a new ambulance while maintaining funding for operations. We are aware of and sensitive to the challenging economic times we all face, .we are all volunteers and members of your community.
